In 2001, DeSagana Diop was drafted by the Cleveland Cavalers with the 8th overall pick of the NBA Entry Draft. Standing 7-feet tall and weighing 280-pounds, it comes as little surprise to hear that the center out of Oak Hill Academy was drafted for his size, and not his precision shooting from the free-throw line.
If that notion hasn’t already been reinforced via Diop’s 47.3% conversion rate from the charity stripe throughout his ten year career, it should have become quite evident following this embarrassment from Saturday night’s game between the Bobcats and the Wizards.
Worst free-throw ever? It has my vote.
