Washington Capitals’ captain Alex Ovechkin was having himself a rough night during Game 4 against the Boston Bruins on Thursday, as Zdeno Chara held the Russian sniper goalless for the third time this series while limiting him to just four shots on goal. And the giant Bruins defender wasn’t the only one giving Ovechkin a hard time. The Capitals’ bench also didn’t seem to be making things easy on him, as Ovechkin struggled to maintain his balance while taking a seat after returning to the bench following one of his shifts.
After experiencing difficulties getting his rear on the bench on this occasion, Ovechkin would have similar problems getting his rear off the bench in the third period, as Capitals coach Dale Hunter played his captain for just 1:58 during the final 20 minutes of the Caps’ 2-1 victory.
