It appears as though at least one parent has taken notice of the possible repercussions one may face when running onto the field of play during a sporting event. So in an effort to disrupt play during yesterday’s game between the Baltimore Orioles and the Chicago White Sox, but avoid being tased or tackled at the same time, that parent decided to send their child out onto the field. Thankfully, White Sox outfielder Dayan Viciedo was there to intercept the boy in left field before any security guard could mistaken him for a shorter-than-average college kid and send thousands of volts through his body.
After scooping the kid up into his arms, Viciedo returned him to his rightful owner seated along the third base line. You can watch the rather interesting incident unfold in the video below.
